How do I order cupcakes, cookies, cookie cakes, Bundt cakes, or other specialty desserts? Just follow the same guidelines as listed above. Call us, secure your date, and let us know what you have in mind.
Do you ship cakes? At this time, we do not ship cakes.
What forms of payment do you accept? Just-Baked accepts cash and checks. Returned checks will be charged an additional $30 fee and payment for the order must then be made by cash or cashier’s check.
Can I order in advance? Absolutely! There is no such thing as ordering too early- some dates are booked a few months in advance! We encourage you to call us as early as possible to ensure availability. For most items, please call at least 21 days in advance of your occasion.
Do you take same-day orders? Simple cakes, cupcakes, and cookie cakes can occasionally be made the same day, with limited options. A $5 Rush fee will apply to same day orders on any baked goods.
Where do I find Cake Prices? There are so many different factors that determine the final cost of a cake. Design, flavor, filling, frosting, and number of servings are just a few of the components. Final price will be given at the time you place your order. However, you will find prices for Bundt, Pound, and Cookie Cakes on the Pricing tab.
What are the ingredients in the cake? Our cakes are primarily made from real butter, superfine sugar, whole milk or buttermilk, unbleached flour and fresh eggs. Cakes may also contain real lemon zest, pure extracts or spices, whole nuts, fresh fruit, and sour cream.
Do you really bake from scratch? Absolutely! We do not use mixes for any of our baked goods. You will never receive a cake was baked months ago, then thawed to fulfill your order. Everything is measured, mixed, poured, and baked fresh by hand!
Is my dessert fresh? We bake to order and from scratch so that you have the freshest dessert possible to guarantee satisfaction in every bite. We want to make every calorie and dollar that you spend with us memorable and pleasurable!
Does Just-Baked make birthday cakes? Yes! Any of our cakes are perfect for birthday parties.
What is rolled fondant? Rolled fondant is sugar dough, which is rolled out, then draped and molded over a cake. This is usually over a layer of buttercream, since the fondant needs something to adhere to. The result is a smooth, matte finish, which is both elegant and versatile. The moistness of the cake keeps the fondant moist, so it’s still easily cut with a knife.
What is gumpaste? Gum paste is another type of pliable sugar dough, mixed with gums, which makes it easy to shape like modeling clay. Because of its sugar content, it dries very hard with the texture and crispness of a Necco wafer, and can be very brittle. It is edible.
Will you personalize the cake for me?
Absolutely. Please specify your desired inscription when you place your order, such as “Happy Birthday”, “Congratulations”, “Welcome Baby” or something else to your liking, at no additional charge.
Does Just-Baked make wedding cakes? Yes. We would love to be part of your special day!
What’s with the funky and weird names for Just-Baked products? They just bring a smile to our face!
I am having a party. What should I get?
A cake is always a hit at a party. There is nothing like cutting into a cake, reliving memories, and making new ones with the ones you care most about.

How do I transport a large cake? Just-Baked delivers cakes all over San Antonio. However, if you do pick up a cake from us, it is always a good idea to have a large flat area in your vehicle dedicated for transporting the cake. We are always happy to carry your cake out to your car. Putting cakes on people’s laps or on the seat of your car is NEVER recommended. The floor of your car is often the best place for putting a cake. For sheet cakes, you should make arrangements to pick up your cake in an SUV or van.
How shall I store Just-Baked products? Store perishable products in the fridge, covered with plastic wrap. Perishable items include cakes with fruit, dairy based fillings and frostings. Shelf-stable items like pound cakes, cookies, tartlets, cookie cakes, cupcakes and muffins should be kept in the box or wrapped in plastic and stored at room temperature.
What kind of refrigeration do I need for your products?
Cookies and cookie cakes require no refrigeration.
Cakes iced in buttercream that have a mousse filling may be left at room temperature for about 2 hours but will need to be refrigerated immediately once that time period has elapsed.
If your cake is to be served the next day, you will need to refrigerate your cake overnight. Fresh fruit fillings and perishable fillings should be refrigerated up until the cake is served.
